Bost Declares Victory

MURPHYSBORO – U.S. Representative Mike Bost (IL-12) released the following statement Tuesday evening:

“I’m incredibly proud of the campaign we put together. We fought hard, focused on the issues, and always made Southern Illinois values our top priority. I congratulate Brendan Kelly on a hard-fought campaign. It’s the honor of a lifetime serving Southern Illinois in our nation’s capital, and I’m looking forward to doing so for another term.”

Brendan Kelly: A Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing

Hypocrite Brendan Kelly is at it again. He’s once again relying on the extreme liberal wing of his party to fund his campaign. This time he’s enlisted the help of Senator Elizabeth Warren, who wants to abolish ICE and implement socialized medicine.

“Brendan Kelly is a wolf in sheep’s clothing,” said Dustin Rhodes, Campaign Manager for Mike Bost. “Despite casting himself as a moderate, he’s relying on the extreme liberal wing of his party to fund his campaign. From environmental activists in Oregon to the face of the ‘resistance,’ Senator Elizabeth Warren, Brendan Kelly is telling Southern Illinoisans lies while liberal extremists bankroll his campaign.”

When St. Clair County Women Said, “Me Too,” Brendan Kelly Said, “So What?”

Brendan Kelly’s abysmal record of protecting victims of sexual assault was exposed yet again this week, as KSDK detailed the 2017 case of a St. Clair County sheriff’s deputy who twice raped a woman in Cahokia. When Brendan Kelly had the opportunity to deliver justice for the victim, he instead issued two “official misconduct” charges that carry an embarrassing sentence of two to five years.

“Time after time, Brendan Kelly has proven that he can’t be trusted to protect victims of sexual assault,” said Dustin Rhodes, campaign manager for Mike Bost. “This is just another example of Mr. Kelly letting a violent predator off with a slap on the wrist. He’s failed to do his job, but now he wants a promotion. When Southern Illinois women said, ‘Me too,’ Brendan Kelly said, ‘So what?’”

Brendan Kelly’s Lies and Pelosi Ties on Display at Candidate Debate

Carbondale – Bost For Congress Campaign Manager Dustin Rhodes released the following statement after Tuesday night’s candidate debate in Carbondale.

“Mike Bost effectively made his closing argument for reelection this evening. He shared his record of working across the aisle to grow jobs, cut taxes, help our veterans, and keep our classrooms safe. Brendan Kelly, on the other hand, rolled out the same false, Nancy Pelosi-style attacks that have been debunked and disputed time and again. Voters witnessed the stark differences between a leader with a record of delivering for his constituents and a candidate who failed miserably in convincing Southern Illinoisans to change course and turn left.”

Hardworking families in Southern Illinois should be able to support themselves after an honest day’s work.”
