Maritime Unions Endorse Bost for Re-Election

MURPHYSBORO, IL – U.S. Representative Mike Bost (IL-12) today announced that his re-election campaign has been endorsed by the International Organization of Masters, Mate & Pilots, the Marine Engineers’ Beneficial Association, the American Maritime Officers, and the Seafarers International Union. Together, these unions represent licensed and unlicensed American merchant mariners working aboard United States-flag commercial vessels operating in foreign and domestic waters, maritime personnel working aboard public and private passenger vessels, aboard civilian crewed ships in the government fleet, state license maritime pilots, as well as maritime industry shore side clerical and service employees.

“With the Mississippi River to the west, Ohio River to the south, and the Kaskaskia River cutting across our district, the maritime industry is vitally important to our Southern Illinois economy,” said Bost.“I’m honored to have the support of our maritime workers and will continue to stand with them in Congress.”

Carpenters’ Union Endorses Bost for Re-Election

The St. Louis – Kansas City Carpenters Regional Council represents more than 20,000 members in 33 locals across the region, including in Southern Illinois.

Bost Launches First Television Ad of 2020 Campaign

O’FALLON, IL – Mike Bost for Congress released its first television ad of the 2020 election cycle, titled “This Year.” The ad will run on cable networks districtwide, which includes the St. Louis and Paducah television markets.
